Purchasing the right floor heating components is important, but the most important aspect of a radiant heat system is that it's installed correctly. Knowing this, Warmzone® offers unmatched installation support services to help ensure that each system is properly installed and the customer is happy.
After consulting with Warmzone and selecting the best system, you’ll receive a professional design and layout of the system. This document not only shows the exact layout of the heating element and system components, but also includes all the technical information needed by the electrician. (For warranty purposes a licensed electrician must wire the system.)
Warmzone also provides free installation training. That way your installer can proceed with confidence and install the system according to manufacturer guidelines. The training course takes less than an hour, but attendees can complete the course at their own pace. Technical support is also provided to installers. Warmzone radiant heat experts are available to assist you and answer any questions during the installation.
Even after completing the training, some installers may encounter unexpected issues during the installation. No problem! Our dedicated installation support staff is on hand to field your calls should you have any questions. We’ll stay at your side throughout the process so you can be confident that you’re not alone. Warmzone also maintains a network of experienced, favorably reviewed installers in the Akron, Ohio area, so we may be able to recommend an installer near you, further helping to ensure that your installation goes smoothly.
Warmzone carries one of the largest selections of radiant floor heating systems in the industry. The wide selection allows customers to find the ideal system for heating their specific floor type. The most common floor heating system features thin heat cable, but other heating elements include near paper-thin heating panels, low-voltage polymer panels, and more. Below are some images showing some of these systems, as well as the procedure for "making turns" when installing floor heating cable in mats. (Heating mats feature thin heat cable that is pre-spaced on a mesh backing. To make turns, the mesh is cut, allowing the installer to "flip" the mat and begin another row.)
In addition to the various heating elements, Warmzone also carries the Prodeso® underlayment membranes. This uncoupling and waterproofing membrane is laid out over the subfloor, and then floor heating cable is placed in the pre-engineered channels of the membrane. The flooring is then installed over the secured heat cable. The Prodeso system provides waterproofing for the substrate, and can be used to heat a wide variety of flooring. The membrane is typically combined with ComfortTile® heat cable to provide the most effective floor heating system.
